Mr and Mrs Milton, from Oakington, have been covering their family home (inside and out) with Christmas lights and decorations for 28 years running! Each year, the couple invite as many people as possible from around the region, to visit the display and make a donation to Magpas Air Ambulance. So far, the Miltons have raised a remarkable £30,415!

Despite Mr Milton being 83 years old, he is still determined to display hundreds of festive figurines, trees, angels, reindeer and santas, together with thousands of lights; a Christmas collection so extensive, that it would take some beating, even by Father Christmas himself! Multiple light bulbs have been replaced and several metal frameworks welded for roof displays – not to mention the hundreds of hours that have been put into maintaining everything over the years.

Mr Milton says, “This display gives people a lot of pleasure and that’s partly why we still do it. And, despite living in a world that’s full of technology, the kids still love to put a good old fashioned coin into a slot to switch the lights on!”

Magpas Air Ambulance’s Head of Community Fundraising, Debbie Florence, said, “Mr and Mrs Milton are one extraordinary couple! If you have never seen this phenomenal display, please go along to Oakington this Saturday evening to help kick-start that festive feeling. Magpas Air Ambulance relies on donations from the public and can only make a vital difference to people’s lives thanks to valuable support from the likes of Mr and Mrs Milton. On behalf of Magpas Air Ambulance we are hugely grateful and would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas .”
