A family-run business in Hardwick is hoping to smash its previous fundraising goals for local lifesaving charity Magpas Air Ambulance by holding a Christmas raffle.

Tejinder and Emma Bhachu, the owners of Nisa Hardwick Stores, have supported the charity for more than a decade. For the past two years, the family have successfully held a Christmas raffle with the help of local businesses and customers, raising over £1,000.

This year, the couple hope to raise even more by offering a wide selection of prizes ranging from pet, beauty and Christmas hampers to beer vouchers.

Emma Bhachu said, “Our customers have shown their consistent generosity over the past couple of years, and we want to continue to support this fantastic charity. Next time you’re in the area, please drop in and get involved in our raffle!”

The money raised will support Magpas Air Ambulance which brings advanced care in the East of England and beyond to people in life-threatening situations. The service is funded by public donations and receives no direct Government funding.

Tickets are available now for only £1 from the shop at 99 Cambridge Road, Hardwick. Winning tickets will be drawn at midday on Wednesday 21st December, where free mince pies and hot mulled wine will also be available!
