The rising demand for our service this winter

Right now, our doctor and critical care paramedic teams are being activated more than ever before. More calls to life-threatening emergencies mean more patients who urgently need our specialist care. But it also means more flying hours, at a time when the price of fuel is unusually high.      

In recent months, our aviation fuel cost has been double what we had planned for. Combined with the unprecedented demand, this is putting pressure on our ability to fund future missions and be ready for the patients who will need us in the months ahead.

Please note, if we raise more than needed to cover fuel costs, any additional funds will support the other essential costs of keeping our lifesaving service flying and operational.
