Our patrons use their voice and influence to support our mission; helping to ensure our patients receive lifesaving care, wherever and whenever it’s needed most.

HRH The Princess Royal

The Princess Royal started undertaking public work at the age of 18. Since then, she has established significant and ongoing relationships with a number of charities and organisations across the Commonwealth and has one of the busiest working schedules of any member of the Royal Family.

HRH The Princess Royal began supporting Magpas Air Ambulance in 2020, becoming a patron of the charity's capital campaign to fund a new base; sharing what an improvement a new airbase and headquarters would have on the service. From that moment on, Her Royal Highness has been a valued patron; taking her support of the charity further, presenting at charity events, unveiling the cornerstone of our new base and opening the building in 2023. It was also The Princess Royal who presented Magpas Air Ambulance Chief Executive Officer, Daryl Brown, with his MBE in 2022.

In 2026, Her Royal Highness wrote a letter to Magpas Air Ambulance staff and its supporters, reaffirming her support for the service and her gratitude for those who help ensure it can continue saving lives in Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire and beyond 24/7. In April 2026, HRH The Princess Royal extended her patronage of Magpas Air Ambulance for a further three years.
