October was another busy month for the Magpas Air Ambulance team as they responded to 116 medical emergencies across 7 counties – including 9 over the Halloween weekend alone.
The Magpas advanced medical team treated critically ill and injured patients in Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire, Northamptonshire, Lincolnshire, Norfolk, Hertfordshire and Leicestershire. Most frequently treating people who had suffered cardiac arrests or been injured in road traffic collisions or through accidental injuries.
As a 24/7 service, the team never know when they’re going to be called out, but last month they received more calls for help at 9am and 11pm than any other time of day.
As a charity funded by voluntary donations, we can’t continue to provide lifesaving care to the people who need it most without the support of the communities within which we serve. If you can donate today, please do so here. Thank you.
