From 25/10/21 – 31/10/21, the Magpas Air Ambulance advanced medical team responded to 41 emergency calls – making it the charity’s busiest week of the year so far, and October the second busiest month of the year, with our lifesaving service being called upon 124 times.
Within that one week, the Magpas doctors and paramedics attended more road traffic collisions than any other type of incident, closely followed by assaults and medical emergencies such as cardiac arrests.
Incidents in Cambridgeshire and Bedfordshire accounted for 61% of all emergencies the Magpas medics were called to, however they also travelled to patients in Northamptonshire, Hertfordshire, Lincolnshire, Norfolk, Essex and Buckinghamshire too, providing patients in life-threatening emergencies with pre-hospital emergency care.
It’s only thanks to your support that our doctors and critical care paramedics can continue to be there for those who need it most 24/7. Thank you.
