Bedfordshire based Maddy was eight years old when she was impaled on some railings whilst playing with friends. Maddy suffered severe abdominal injuries and urgently needed the specialist skills of the Magpas Air Ambulance medics. The enhanced doctor and paramedic team provided Maddy with advanced pain relief at the scene, before airlifting her to hospital.
Maddy has made a full recovery and is now a happy, confident, 16 year old and a perfect example of the critical difference our charity can make. Maddy said, “I couldn’t be more grateful for everything Magpas Air Ambulance did for me and I want to do everything I can to help the charity’s amazing cause.”
