Government announces £6m for Air Ambulance Charities

Magpas Air Ambulance is pleased that the Department of Health and Social Care have recognised the vital and unique role that Air Ambulance Charities play in the health of our nation, particularly at this time, with the announcement today of emergency funding to Air Ambulance UK. Since the outbreak of COVID-19, Magpas has incurred significant additional expenditure to ensure the safety of our medical teams, our patients and the continuation of our 24/7 lifesaving service. At the same time, our ability to fundraise has been severely impacted. Therefore, Magpas Air Ambulance welcomes the opportunity to access this emergency funding. Magpas Air Ambulance expects the impact of the pandemic to be felt for many months to come.
