Catherine’s story really packs a punch. Catherine says: ‘On March 19th 2014 I suffered a fall from a racehorse that resulted in me sustaining a bimalleolar fracture of my right ankle.  This meant that both my tibia and fibula were broken and I had also sustained a dislocation of my ankle.

Due to the nature of the break and dislocation I could not be transported to hospitial until my foot had been manipulated back into my ankle.  Without the required medical treatment I could have potentially sustained serious muscle and ligament damage.  This kind of treatment required a doctor to attend so Magpas Helimedix were called out to the scene.

As a result of my fracture and dislocation I now have 2 plates and 11 screws holding my right ankle together.  In what will be just over a years time since my accident I will attempt to complete the 26.2 miles of the London Marathon in order to raise money for the Magpas Emergency Medical Charity’.
