Lt Col Mary Read BSc Hons PhD MBA CMngr is Commanding Officer of 254 Medical Regiment, the Army’s Medical Services presence in the East of England.
As a Reserve, Mary also has a civilian job as a Business Director in a busy medical communications company.
As CO, Mary is responsible for some 400 soldiers spread across the region and beyond, a role which utilises her relevant expertise in healthcare governance, medical planning and delivery of primary care and pre-hospital care in the military. She and her team are responsible for planning high quality medical and leadership training to their unit. As a civilian, Mary brings expertise in business management and communications – as well as scientific programs and significant media experience.
