At 10:27pm last night (18th), Magpas Air Ambulance Doctor Leigh Bissett and Critical Care Paramedic Ryan Warwick arrived in Stevenage, via a Magpas Air Ambulance rapid response vehicle. They had been called after a serious collision occurred between two vehicles and pedestrians - it is believed that 17 people in total were involved.
The Magpas enhanced medical team assessed 5 patients at the scene; 2 women (in their 20's) and 3 men (one in his teens and two in their 20's). Fortunately none of the patients suffered life threatening injuries. They were all subsequently taken to Lister Hospital, by land ambulance, for further treatment.
Numerous EEAST Ambulance Service paramedic crews, an East Anglian Air Ambulance (EAAA) team, Hertfordshire Police and Hertfordshire Fire & Rescue Service crews were also in attendance.
