There has been some wonderful, diverse fundraising for Magpas Air Ambulance recently. Here are a few of their stories:

Magpas supporter Marie Heathcote gave up takeaways for one hundred days over winter, as a personal challenge. Marie decided it would be a great challenge for her to give up something she loves; her rules being absolutely simply: ‘100 days, no takeaways’, and she succeeded! She donated a very generous £100 to Magpas at the end of her 100 days as we are a charity close to her heart. This was a brilliant personal achievement, well done and thank you Marie!

The Butchers Arms pub in Knodishall in Suffolk kindly chose us to be their charity of the year throughout 2015, raising money through their brilliant monthly quiz night. They raised a fantastic £434 through the yearly event, and our volunteer Martin went down to Suffolk to collect the cheque and say a few words of thanks.

Gibbs Denley, who once again have kindly chosen us as their charity of the year, have begun their fundraising this year. They have had a dress down day in the office as well as an ‘Eat Cake’ event! In total they raised a brilliant £77.50, which is a great start to the year from a loyal supporter.

We were the charity of the year for the Holywell-Cum-Needingworth Over 60’s Club throughout 2015. They raised a fantastic £350 pounds from their various events which included a raffle and jumble sale in their village hall. The Over 60’s club, like us, are a crucial part of the community, and we appreciate them chosen Magpas Air Ambulance as their charity to support throughout 2015.

These are all amazing ways that Magpas Air Ambulance supporters have got involved, donated and fundraised for us, and it truly makes a lifesaving difference.
