Wollaston, motorcyclist seriously injured – Magpas Air Ambulance flies to him

At 5:40pm yesterday evening (15th) Magpas Doctor Adriana Cordier and Paramedic Andy Ormiston landed in Wollaston via the Magpas Air Ambulance. They had been called to treat a man who had been seriously injured in a motorcycle incident.

The Magpas enhanced medical team assessed the patient (in his 60’s) who had sustained multiple, serious injuries and placed him into a medically induced coma at the scene (providing him with A&E level care). The doctor-paramedic team then airlifted the man to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, where he was in a very serious but stable condition upon arrival.

The helicopter crew who flew the patient and medical team were Pilot Chris Sherriff and Crewmember Rob Davies.

An EMAS Ambulance Service paramedic crew and Northamptonshire Police were also in attendance.
