Wisbech, car & van collision – Magpas Air Ambulance flies to scene
At 9.39am on Saturday (5th) Magpas Helimedix (Doctor Lee Soomaroo and Paramedic Ryan Warwick) arrived in Wisbech via the Magpas Air Ambulance – following a road traffic collision involving a car and a van.
The Helimedix worked alongside an EEAST Ambulance Service Paramedic Crew to assess a man (in his 80’s) who had suffered a head injury. The Ambulance Service then continued to treat the patient, before taking him by land ambulance, in a stable condition, to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Kings Lynn.
The Helicopter team who flew the Helimedix to the scene was: Pilot Jim Polwarth and Crew Member Simon Amos.
Fire and Rescue Services and a Rapid Response Vehicle were also present.
