Sandy, man injured in fall at industrial site – Magpas Air Ambulance called to scene

At 6.55am this morning (25th) Magpas Doctor Andrew Lindsay and Paramedic Dan Read arrived in Sandy via the Magpas Air Ambulance rapid response vehicle. They had been called to treat a man who had been injured in a fall at an industrial site.

The Magpas enhanced medical team assessed the man (in his 50’s) who was trapped and had fractured his leg. They administered advanced pain relief (providing him with A&E level care at the scene) and worked with the Hazardous Area Response Team to extricate the man. An EEAST Ambulance Service paramedic crew then took him to Bedford Hospital in a stable condition.
