Redbourn, multi-vehicle collision – Magpas Air Ambulance flies to scene

At 7:48am this morning (13th) Magpas Doctor Natalie Lonsdale, Paramedic Steve Chambers and Doctor Tom Odbert landed in Redbourn via the Magpas Air Ambulance. They had been called to the scene of a collision between three cars.

The Magpas enhanced medical team assessed two patients at the scene. One man (in his 40’s) was left in the care of an EEAST Ambulance Service paramedic crew, another man (also in his 40’s) had sustained multiple, serious injuries. The Magpas medics provided him with pain relief before airlifting him to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge, in a very serious but stable condition.

The Magpas helicopter crew, who flew the patient and medical team, were Chief Pilot Richard Eastwood and Crewmember George Phillips.

The East Anglian Air Ambulance, Hertfordshire Police and the Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue Service were all also at the scene.

We have no further information.
