At 3.44pm on Sunday afternoon (9th) Magpas Doctors Jono Ritson & Sarah Hazleman and Paramedic Dan Read landed at a rural location east of Uppingham via the Magpas Air Ambulance. They had been called to treat a woman injured following a fall from a horse.
The Magpas enhanced medical team assessed the woman (in her teens) who had sustained a leg injury. They provided her with advanced pain relief at the scene (giving her A&E level care). She was then taken by an EMAS Ambulance Service crew to Peterborough City Hospital in a stable condition.
The helicopter crew who flew the medical team was Chief Pilot Dickie Eastwood and Crewmember Simon Amos.
