Nr Thrapston, incident involving man and cow – Magpas Air Ambulance fly to scene

At 9:17am yesterday morning (8th) Magpas Doctor Ali Hieatt and Paramedic Andy Ormiston landed in a rural location north-east of Thrapston. They had been called to a man who had been injured in an incident involving a cow.

The Magpas enhanced medical team assessed the patient (in his 50’s) and provided him with pain relief at the scene, working alongside an EMAS Ambulance Service paramedic crew and a community first responder, before airlifting the man to Peterborough City Hospital. He was in a stable condition upon arrival.

The helicopter crew who flew the patient and medical team were Chief Pilot Richard Eastwood and Technical Crew Member Simon Amos.
