Nr Sandy, man injured in single vehicle collision – Magpas Air Ambulance called to scene

At 12.49am on Saturday morning (23rd), Magpas Doctor Steve Corry-Bass and Paramedic Chris Hawkins arrived near Sandy, via the rapid response vehicle, to treat a man who had been injured when his car came off the road.

The Magpas team assessed the man (in his 40s) who had suffered a head injury. They administered IV fluid and pain relief before he was extracted from the vehicle by Bedfordshire Fire and Rescue Service. The patient was then taken by EEAST Ambulance Service to Bedford Hospital. He was in a stable condition upon arrival.

Bedfordshire Police were also in attendance.
