Nr Peterborough, quad bike incident – Magpas Air Ambulance flies to scene
At 12.06pm yesterday (13th) Magpas Helimedix (Doctor Steve Corry-Bass and Paramedic Keir Rutherford) arrived near Peterborough via the Magpas Air Ambulance, after a man (in his 50’s) suffered a fall from a quad bike.
The Helimedix assessed the patient who had suffered shoulder and chest injuries. The Magpas team sedated the man (providing specialist A&E care at the scene), before flying him to Peterborough City Hospital. On arrival at the hospital the patient was in a serious but stable condition.
The Helicopter team who flew the Helimedix to the scene/ the Helimedix and the patient to hospital was: Chief Pilot Richard Eastwood and Crew Member Adam Bright.
An EEAST Ambulance Service Paramedic Crew and HART were also present.
