Nr Duxford, man injured in fall from height – Magpas Air Ambulance flies to the scene

At 11.15am on Sunday afternoon (26th), Magpas Doctor Steve Corry-Bass and Paramedic Chris Hawkins landed near Duxford, via the Magpas Air Ambulance, to treat a man who had fallen from a ladder.

The Magpas team assessed the man (in his 50s), who had sustained back and leg injuries. They provided him with pain relief and immobilised him to protect his injuries.

He was then taken by land ambulance to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, where he was in a stable condition upon arrival.

The helicopter crew who flew the medical team were Chief Pilot Richard Eastwood and Crewmember Lee Kennedy.

An EEAST paramedic crew and EEAST Hazardous Area Response Team (HART) were also in attendance.
