Nr Boston, girl injured in equestrian incident – Magpas Air Ambulance flies to the scene

At 3.11pm on Sunday afternoon (24th), Magpas Doctor Sophia De Maria and Paramedic Ollie Robinson landed near Boston, via the air ambulance, to treat a girl who had fallen from a horse.

The Magpas team assessed the girl, who had sustained a pelvic injury. They gave her advanced pain relief (providing advanced A&E level care at the scene) and put measures in place to protect her injuries. The patient was then flown to Queen’s Medical Centre, Nottingham where she was in a stable condition upon arrival.

The Helicopter crew who flew the medical team were Chief Pilot Richard Eastwood and Crewmember Lee Kennedy.

EMAS Ambulance Service were also in attendance.
