Moped & car collision, Bedford – Magpas Helimedix attend

At 12:37am in the early hours of this morning (24th), Magpas Helimedix (Doctor Phil Morgan and Paramedic Dan Read) arrived in Bedford, via the Magpas Rapid Response BMW. An EEAST Ambulance Crew requested their assistance, en route to hospital from the scene of an incident. A man had suffered lower body fractures, after a collision involving a car and a moped.

The Magpas sedated the in the back of an ambulance (providing him with enhanced A&E care) in order to reduce the level of his injury. The Helimedix then accompanied the man in a Land Ambulance to Addenbrooke’s Hospital. On arrival at the hospital, he was in a stable condition.

All the Emergency Services worked extremely well together.
