March, man suffers serious leg injury – Magpas Air Ambulance flies to scene

At 16.02pm yesterday afternoon (27th) Magpas Doctor Scott Knapp and Paramedic Steve Chambers landed in March via the Magpas Air Ambulance. They had been called to treat a man who had been injured in a fall.

The Magpas enhanced medical team assessed the patient (in his 60’s) who had sustained a serious leg injury and sedated him at the scene (providing him with A&E level care). They then accompanied the man to Peterborough City Hospital via land ambulance where he was in a stable condition upon arrival.

The helicopter crew who flew the medical team were Pilot Andy Figg and Crewmember Lee Kennedy.

An EEAST Ambulance Service paramedic crew were also in attendance.

We have no further information.
