March, man falls from ladder – Magpas Air Ambulance team fly to him

At 10:43am on 17th March, Magpas Doctor Nathan Howes and Critical Care Paramedic Andy Ormiston landed in March via the Magpas Air Ambulance. They had been called to treat a man who had been injured in a fall from a ladder.

The Magpas medical team assessed the patient (in his 40s), provided him with advanced pain relief at the scene (usually only available in A&E) and put measures in place to reduce his injuries, before an EEAST Ambulance Service paramedic crew took him to hospital via land ambulance in a stable condition.

The flight crew who flew the Magpas Air Ambulance medical team were Pilot Chris Sherriff and Technical Crew Member George Phillips.
