Man suffers head injuries, Bedford – Magpas Helimedix fly to scene
At 2:14pm this afternoon, Magpas Helimedix (Doctor Jon Birks and Paramedic Paul Sallis) arrived at Bedford, via the Magpas Helimedix Air Ambulance – after a man (in his 30’s) suffered head injuries and an EEAST Ambulance Crew requested their assistance.
The Magpas team assessed the patient, whilst working alongside the Ambulance Crew. The Helimedix then accompanied the man in a Land Ambulance to Bedford Hospital. On arrival at the hospital, he was in a non-life-threatening condition.
The Helicopter team who flew the Helimedix to the scene was: Pilot Richard Eastwood and Crew Member Steve Hunwicks.
An EEAST Ambulance Manager, amongst other Emergency Services, was also present. Everyone worked well together.
This is all the information we have at present.
