Luton, car and van collision – Magpas called to scene

Luton, car and van collision – Magpas called to scene

At 3.36am this morning (11th), Magpas Doctor Steve Corry-Bass and Paramedic Steve Chambers arrived in the Luton area via the Magpas Rapid Response BMW – following a road traffic collision involving a van and a car, which left a man (in his 40’s) trapped inside one of the vehicles.

The Magpas team assessed the patient who had suffered serious leg injuries. The Magpas Doctor and Paramedic then worked alongside Fire and Rescue Services and EEAST Ambulance Service Paramedic Crews to safely remove the man from the vehicle. The Magpas team sedated the patient (providing him with specialist A&E care on the scene), before accompanying him to Luton and Dunstable Hospital by land ambulance. On arrival at the hospital the patient was in a serious but stable condition.

The Police were also on the scene.

This is all the information we have.
