Long Sutton, man suffers heart attack – Magpas Air Ambulance flies to him

Picture of Magpas Air Ambulance in flightAt 1:17pm on Monday 30th September, Magpas Doctor Mark Tehan and Paramedic Dan Read landed in Long Sutton via the Magpas Air Ambulance. They had been called to treat a man who had suffered a heart attack.

The Magpas enhanced medical team assessed the patient (in his 50’s) and gave him advanced pain relief at the scene (providing A&E level care). They then airlifted the man to Lincoln County Hospital, monitoring his condition throughout the journey. He was in a very serious but stable condition upon arrival.

The helicopter crew who flew the patient and medical team were Pilot Chris Sherriff and Technical Crew Member Rob Davies.

An EMAS Ambulance Service paramedic crew were also in attendance.
