Leighton Buzzard, woman injured in collision with golf cart – Magpas Air Ambulance flies to her

At 12:15pm yesterday afternoon (14th) Magpas Doctor Charlotte Haldane and Paramedic Alex Pearce landed in Leighton Buzzard via the new Magpas Air Ambulance. They had been called to a woman who had been injured in a collision involving a golf cart.

The Magpas enhanced medical team assessed the patient (in her 70’s) who had sustained multiple serious injuries. They provided the woman with pain relief at the scene before airlifting her to Addenbrookes Hospital, Cambridge, for further treatment. She was in a very serious but stable condition upon arrival.

The Magpas Air Ambulance helicopter crew who flew the patient and medical team were Pilot Chris Sherriff and Technical Crew Member George Phillips.

An EEAST Ambulance Service paramedic crew and Bedfordshire Police were also in attendance.
