Huntingdon, man injured in collision – Magpas Air Ambulance called to the scene

At 9.31pm on Tuesday evening (22nd), Magpas Doctor Steve Corry-Bass and Paramedic Dan Cody arrived in Huntingdon via the rapid response vehicle to treat a man injured in a collision involving a single vehicle.

The Magpas team assessed the man who was trapped inside the vehicle and had sustained multiple injuries. The patient was provided with strong pain relief and sedated (giving him A&E level care at the scene) while Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service worked to extract him from the vehicle. The Magpas team then accompanied the man by land ambulance to Addenbrooke’s Hospital. The patient was in a serious but stable condition upon arrival.

EEAST Ambulance Service and Cambridgeshire Police were also in attendance.
