Hertford, car overturned at A10/A414 roundabout – Magpas Air Ambulance called to scene

At 3:10am, in the early hours this morning (1st), Magpas Doctor Scott Knapp and Paramedic Alex Pearce arrived in Hertford via a Magpas Air Ambulance rapid response vehicle. They had been called to treat two patients who were left injured and trapped inside a car, after it overturned at the A10 / A414 roundabout in Hertford.

The Magpas enhanced medical team assessed a woman (in her late teens) who had sustained serious injuries. They administered pain relief for the patient whilst escorting her to Addenbrooke’s Hospital by land ambulance. Upon arrival at the hospital, the woman was in a stable condition.

The Magpas doctor and paramedic also worked alongside an EEAST Ambulance Service paramedic crew to assess a man (in his 20s) – before he was taken to Lister Hospital in Stevenage by the ambulance crew for further observation.

EEAST Ambulance Service paramedic crews, Hertfordshire police and a Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue Service crew were also in attendance.
