At 12:23am in the early hours of this morning (11th), Magpas Doctor Scott Castell and Paramedic Alex Pearce arrived in Hemel Hempstead via a Magpas Air Ambulance Rapid Response BMW. They had been called to treat a man who had been injured whilst pushing his car, after it got stuck in the snow.
The Magpas enhanced medical team assessed the man (in his 30’s) who had sustained a serious break to his leg. They sedated the patient (providing him with A&E level care at the roadside) and put measures into place to protect his injury.
The Magpas Air Ambulance doctor and paramedic then accompanied the man in a land ambulance to Luton & Dunstable Hospital, where upon arrival he was in a stable condition.
An EEAST Ambulance Service paramedic crew was also in attendance.
