Harlow, man in cardiac arrest – Magpas Air Ambulance flies to him

At 10:43am yesterday morning (5th) Magpas Doctor Adriana Cordier and Paramedic Dan Phillips landed in Harlow via the Magpas Air Ambulance. They had been called to treat a man who had suffered a cardiac arrest.

When the EEAST Ambulance Service paramedic crew arrived, a bystander was administering CPR. The ambulance crew continued to provide the man (in his 70’s) with advanced life support, before the Magpas enhanced medical team provided the patient with specialist A&E level care, anaesthetizing him at the scene.

The Magpas doctor-paramedic team then flew the patient to Lister Hospital, Stevenage for ongoing care. He was in a critical condition upon arrival.

The helicopter crew who flew the medical team and patient were Pilot Chris Sherriff and Crewmember Rob Davies.

Essex Police were also in attendance.

We have no further information.
