Ely, man injured after getting arm trapped in machine – Magpas Helimedix fly to him
At 4.12pm on the 26th, Magpas Helimedix (Doctor Sarah Hazleman and Paramedic Chris Hawkins) arrived near Ely via the Magpas Helimedix Air Ambulance. A man (in his 40’s) injured his arm after getting it trapped in machinery.
The Helimedix team sedated the patient, providing him with specialist A&E level care. They then accompanied the patient to Addenbrooke’s Hospital via land ambulance. On arrival at the hospital his condition was serious but stable.
The Helicopter team who flew the Helimedix to the scene / the patient and the Helimedix to hospital was: Chief Pilot Richard Eastwood and Crew Member Andy Craigie.
