Ely, man goes into cardiac arrest – Magpas Air Ambulance called to the scene

At 6.46am this morning (28th), Magpas Doctor Scott Knapp and Paramedic Dan Read arrived in Ely, via the Magpas Air Ambulance rapid response vehicle. They had been called to treat a man who had gone into cardiac arrest.

The Magpas medical team resuscitated the man (in his 40’s) before placing him in an induced coma (providing him with A&E level care). The team then accompanied him by land ambulance to Papworth Hospital. He was in a serious condition upon arrival at hospital.

An EEAST Ambulance Service paramedic crew were also in attendance.
