Ely, man falls from ladder in the strong winds – Magpas Air Ambulance flies to him

At 10:55am this morning (24th) Magpas Doctor Jon Barratt and Paramedic Ollie Robinson arrived in Ely via the Magpas Air Ambulance. They had been called to treat a man who had been injured in a fall from a ladder in the strong winds today.

The Magpas enhanced medical team assessed the patient (in his 50’s) who had sustained a leg injury. They sedated the man at the scene in order to protect his injuries (providing him with A&E level care) before accompanying him to Addenbrooke’s Hospital via land ambulance. He was in a stable condition upon arrival.

The helicopter crew who flew the medical team were Chief Pilot Richard Eastwood and Crewmember Lee Kennedy.

An EEAST Ambulance Service paramedic crew were also in attendance.
