Car vs tree, nr Wisbech – Magpas Helimedix fly to scene

At 3:32pm yesterday afternoon (14th), Magpas Helimedix (Doctor Nathan Howes and Paramedic Dan Read) arrived at a location between Outwell and Wisbech, via the Magpas Helimedix Air Ambulance – after a collision between a car and a tree.

The Magpas team assessed a man (in his 40’s) who suffered a head injury. The Helimedix then worked alongside a Fire & Rescue Service Crew and EEAST Ambulance Service Paramedic Crews to remove the patient safely out of the vehicle. The Magpas team then accompanied the man, in a land ambulance, to King’s Lynn Hospital for further investigation (monitoring his condition all the way). On arrival at the hospital, the patient was in a serious but stable condition.

The Helicopter team who flew the Helimedix to the scene was: Pilot Richard Eastwood and Crew Member George Phillips.

The Police were also present. All the Emergency Services worked extremely well together.

This is all the information we have at present.
