Bedfordshire woman goes into cardiac arrest – Magpas Helimedix called to her
At 9:03am this morning (16th Feb), Magpas Helimedix (Doctor Nathan Howes and Paramedic Dan Read) arrived at a residential area, near Shefford, via the Magpas Rapid Response BMW – after a woman went into cardiac arrest.
An EEAST Ambulance Service Paramedic Crew initially provided advanced life support for the patient. The Magpas team then anaesthetised the woman (providing her with specialist A&E care), before accompanying her to Lister Hospital in a land ambulance (monitoring her condition all the way). On arrival at the hospital, the patient was in a serious but stable condition.
An EEAST Ambulance Service Paramedic Officer and Rapid Response Paramedic were also present. All the Emergency Services worked well together.
