Bedford, man injured in single vehicle collision – Magpas Air Ambulance called to scene

At 7.32pm yesterday evening (15th) Magpas Doctor Charlotte Haldane and Paramedic Steve Chambers arrived in Bedford via a Magpas Air Ambulance rapid response vehicle. They had been called to treat a man who had been injured in a single vehicle collision.

The Magpas enhanced medical team assessed the patient (in his 70’s) who had sustained multiple injuries. They sedated him at the scene in order to protect his injuries (providing him with A&E level care), before accompanying him to Bedford Hospital via land ambulance. He was in a stable condition upon arrival.

An EEAST Ambulance Service paramedic crew treated 4 more patients at the scene of the incident.

Bedfordshire Police and the Fire and Rescue Service were also in attendance.

We have no further information.
