B1090 nr Huntingdon, man seriously injured in car v motorcycle RTC – Magpas Air Ambulance flies to the scene

At 8.29am this morning (9th), Magpas Doctor Andy Lindsay and Paramedic Dan Read landed beside the B1090 between Kings Ripton and Woodwalton, via the Magpas Air Ambulance. They had been called to treat a motorcyclist involved in a collision with a car.

The Magpas medical team assessed a man (in his 30s) who had sustained multiple life threatening injuries. They then anaesthetised him at the scene (providing him with care otherwise only available in hospital).

He was then taken by land ambulance to Addenbrooke’sHospital, where he was in a critical condition upon arrival.

The helicopter crew who flew the medical team were Pilot Andy Figg and Crewmember Simon Amos.

An EEAST Ambulance Service paramedic crew and Cambridgeshire Police were also in attendance.
