A14 Kettering, lorry vs 4x cars – Magpas called to scene

At 6:30pm last night, (19th), Magpas Helimedix (Doctor Andy Lindsay and Paramedic Dan Cody, together with Doctor Maria Smith) arrived at the A14 near Kettering via the Magpas Rapid Response BMW – following a road traffic collision involving four cars and a lorry, leaving a man (in his 40’s) severely trapped inside one of the vehicles with head and arm injuries.

The Magpas team worked alongside a Northamptonshire Fire & Rescue Service Crew and EMAS Ambulance Service Paramedic Crews to remove the patient safely from the car. The Magpas Doctors and Paramedic administered pain relief for the patient, before accompanying him in a land ambulance to Kettering Hospital. On arrival at the hospital, the man was in a stable condition.

Five other patients were also assessed at the scene of this incident, fortunately none of them suffered serious injuries.

Northamptonshire Police were also present. The Magpas Team would like to thank the rest of the emergency services for their excellent team work.

This is all the information we have.
