A45 nr Northampton, motorcyclist seriously injured – Magpas Air Ambulance flies to him

Magpas Air Ambulance CharityAt 1:54pm on Wednesday 9th October, Magpas Doctor David Leverton and Critical Care Paramedic Ollie Robinson landed at the A45 near Northampton via the Magpas Air Ambulance. They had been called to treat a man who had been seriously injured in a motorcycle incident.

The Magpas enhanced medical team assessed the patient (in his 50’s) who had sustained multiple serious injuries. They gave the man advanced pain relief and sedated him at the scene (providing him with A&E level care) before airlifting him to University Hospital Coventry. He was in a serious condition upon arrival.

The helicopter crew who flew the patient and medical team were Pilot Richard Eastwood and Technical Crew Member Simon Amos.

An EMAS Ambulance Service paramedic crew and Northamptonshire Police we also in attendance.
