Magpas Air Ambulance has a set number of TCS London Marathon places. Due to high demand, we have an application system. Unfortunately, we expect to receive more applications than we have places, so we can't guarantee that everyone who applies will be able to secure a marathon place.
Participants have to be 18 years old on or before the event date (25th April 2027).

You are expected to raise a minimum of £2,500 in sponsorship. If you do not reach this target, you may be expected to pay the shortfall. Please note that any matched funding must be in addition to the £2,500 target and will not count towards it.Â
Gift Aid is not included in your fundraising total. Unfortunately, Gift Aid isn't guaranteed for charities, even when people claim it on their donations; therefore it doesn't contribute to your £2,500 fundraising target.

Unfortunately, charity places in the Saturday event cannot be deferred as this is a one-off event.
Charity places in the Sunday event can be deferred for one year at Magpas Air Ambulance's discretion and will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
Any money you may have raised can also be rolled over to count for your fundraising total next time, and depending on when you defer, you will need to pay a registration fee for the next year's event on top of that.
Should the event be cancelled through no fault of the participant, Magpas Air Ambulance will offer a full refund of the registration fee and the return of any sponsorship funds.Â
Refund requests must be made in writing and will be refunded by Magpas Air Ambulance via the original payment method.Â

If you've heard from our team offering you one of our charity places, you'll be sent an email asking to secure your place by paying your non-refundable £100 registration fee. You will have ten days to complete your registration, and once paid, your place will be secured on our team.
If you miss the ten day payment deadline, your place will be released and offered to someone else. If you'd like to speak to someone from the team, please contact fundraising@magpas.org.uk
Your registration fee contributes towards the cost of your place and is not included in your fundraising target.
Unfortunately, as per our terms and conditions, you can't transfer your place to someone else. If you're unable to take part in the event, please let us know as soon as possible. We will look to replace you with someone from our waiting list.

All participants agree that, as far as they are aware, they are sufficiently fit and physically able to compete in the event and, if necessary, have sought and relied upon medical advice before the event date. It is the participant’s own responsibility to assess their fitness and to ensure that they participate only if sufficiently fit.Â
Participants with any doubts about their health or a medical condition that could be affected by exercise should obtain their doctor’s approval before participating.Â
