Big heart. Brave face. No name… Yet.

Have you met the newest member of our team?
We recently welcomed a very special new recruit to the Magpas Air Ambulance team… Our adorable new mascot is mission-ready, but there's just one thing missing: a name.
Our lifesaving work is only possible thanks to support from our incredible community—so it’s only right that you help name the bear who will inspire the next generation of supporters.
What will you call the newest face of Magpas Air Ambulance?
Entries are now closed. Watch this space for an announcement in September!

FAQs
All submissions will be reviewed by our Income & Engagement Team, who will shortlist a selection of their favourite names. The top names will then be circulated to the Magpas Air Ambulance doctors, paramedics and aviation team to vote, and the favourite name will be given to our mascot!
Absolutely. Once the winning name has been picked and announced, we'd love to invite the person/people who submitted the name* to come to our airbase in Alconbury Weald** for a meet and greet with the mascot! You'll be the first to see the new name badge in place, and you can check out our lifesaving fleet while you're here.***
If it's a close call between the top few names, there may also be some surprises for the other top contenders... Watch this space!
*If the winning name was submitted by multiple different people, the names of the participants will be put into a hat and one picked at random to win the visit to our airbase.
**In the instance of the winning name being suggested by a class at a local school, we may be able to arrange for the mascot to travel to the school in one of our rapid response vehicles instead.
***We will work with the winner to find a suitable time for their visit. The visit will take place on a weekday. Â
The deadline for name suggestions is midday on Friday, 15 August 2025, and the final name choice will then be announced via social media and email in September. The winner will also be contacted directly via the email provided in the form submission.
Absolutely! Name suggestions can come from individuals, or from groups of students or colleagues.
Pick your name by rounding up your class for an end-of-term activity; getting together your colleagues for a bit of team bonding; or kicking off the summer holidays with your family and downloading our colouring sheet (above!)
Just don't forget to give us as much information as possible in your submission so we know who to credit for the idea!
Absolutely not! Our colouring page is available for those who wish to get creative with their application, and we'd love to see the final products. Submitted colouring sheets will not, however, form any part of the judging process for application.
Individual applications: One per person. If you're getting involved as a whole family, we suggest a separate name idea for each.
Group applications:Â One per group; this group could represent a class in a school, a workplace or a social/community group.
